Neuroscience and Happiness
Researches in neuroscience has clearly illustrated that we are what we think and pay attention to. Our thoughts literally change and restructure existing neural pathways or create new ones in our brain.
Every time we think a certain thought, that particular neural pathway associated with the thought gets stronger—much like our muscles getting stronger every time we exercise them.
In other words, to live a happier and more fulfilling life, think happy thoughts; pay attention to and admires all the wondrous and remarkable things and happenings (big and small) around you.
When we take time to experience life, the mundane becomes miraculous, the commonplace becomes captivating, the quotidian becomes quotable.
